What This Site Is
We publish stories, photos, videos, maps and occasional paid digital products created by surfers and travelers who actually went there and paid their own way. Everything is opinion-based, subjective and written in the first person, exactly as it happened to the author. We do our best to be accurate, but we are not a travel agency, booking platform or professional guide service.
Your Responsibility
The ocean is wild, roads are sketchy, buses break down, and sometimes reefs win. Every decision you make after reading the site (where to surf, which ferry to take, where to sleep) is 100 % yours. We share what worked for us, what didn’t, and the real costs. We do not guarantee perfect waves, empty lineups, or that the hostel still looks exactly like the photo from last season.
Intellectual Property
All text, photos, videos and maps on the site belong to Ondano LLC or the respective contributor. Feel free to share links, quote short fragments with credit, and tell your mates about a good read. Republishing entire articles, scraping content, or using our photos commercially without written permission is not cool and we will chase you down (politely but firmly).
Paid Digital Products
When we sell something (subscriptions, map packs, e-books) the transaction is final except for the generous 30-day refund window described in our separate Refund Policy. After that, no refunds, you can’t get your money back because the swell didn’t show up.
User-Submitted Content
If you send us photos, stories or comments, you confirm you own the rights to that material and you give us permission to publish it on the site and social channels (with credit to you, of course). We can ask us to remove it anytime).
Limitation of Liability
We’re a tiny company run by people who would rather be in the water than in court. To the maximum extent allowed by law, Ondano LLC is not liable for any injury, loss, missed flights, shark encounters, food poisoning, or bad vibes that happen after you follow (or ignore) something you read here. Travel safe, buy insurance, wear a helmet on scooters, and don’t blame us if the locals charge tourist prices.
Changes to the Site and Terms
We can update these terms whenever needed. The new version starts working the moment the “Last updated” date changes. Keep checking back if you’re into that sort of thing.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, USA. If something goes really sideways and we can’t solve it over email, disputes will be settled in the courts of Greene County, Missouri.
